Union Missionary Baptist Church

Community Outreach.

The Union Missionary Baptist Church Family is constantly looking for opportunities to reach out into the surrounding neighborhoods of the Tri-State area through coordinated men's and women's small group Bible studies, activity packed children's ministries, and The UG (our absolutely off-the charts teen ministry).

First Fruits Pantry provides food baskets for those who have short term food needs, and, in addition, several dedicated members of UMBC are involved in a compassionate care ministry to the homeless and economically challenged. All who come, whether street dweller, transient, addict, or residents of local missions and charitable outreaches, will find warm food, seasonal clothing, and personal encouragement through the love and prayers of our UMBC teams. These teams are a part of a joint effort with three Chistian biker groups and other Christ-like servants who represent churches from all over the city of Huntington and Southern Ohio.

For those who are new to our neighborhood, we would like to extend an invitation to join us for one of our Sunday morning services.  You will find that we offer a variety of programs for the children. We have Sunday School classes for children from pre-k through varsity high school.  In addition to our Sunday School classes, we offer a Junior Church which takes place during the adult worship time. Children from age 2 through 6th grade are engaged in an action packed, Bible centered, and fun filled Junior Church.  Many of our teens work as team leaders with the young children who attend Junior Church.  This interaction gives our varsity teens an opportunity to share their faith with the younger children.
